Who I am

Having worked in the industry for 3 years and 10 months, I have primarily worked on building full-stack applications in JavaScript and TypeScript. I have used React for building single-page applications(SPAs) and mainly used Node and Express in the backend for building restful APIs. Have used NoSql database: AWS Dynamodb, AWS S3, and AWS SQS. Also, have experience in writing GraphqQL node-based micro-services. Additionally, have experience with Kubernetes in auto-scaling backend services.

Also, I have open source experience in contributing to Spectrum chat application which was recently acquired by Github.

Oct 2019 – Present

  • Led the design and development of Sentiment view to display phrase level sentiments with varying color encoding to appropriately encode the strength of sentiment ranging from high positive to high negative.
  • Developed Sentiment trends chart for displaying sentiment scores over a period of time. Time span can be changed from days, weeks, months and years.
  • Developed themes auto-suggest feature for the search bar.

TALENTICA SOFTWARE PVT. LTD. SOFTWARE ENGINEER 2

July 2018 – Sept 2019

  • Developed UI in React for syncing and integrating SharePoint, OneNote and Evernote data.
  • Developed the TearSheet UI in React. Displaying existing company profiles which recently debuted and provides an instant snapshot of public and private company’s financial health including revenue, investment/acquisition history.
  • Designed and developed peers UI in React which basically compared a focus company with it’s top competitors in its market segment. Also made individual peers draggable. Peers could be added using the search bar, removed or reordered. Created a heat map with appropriate color coding showing scheme for different metrics. The heat map was generated on the fly in order to accommodate newly added peers.
  • Implemented different Node based GraphQL microservices to fetch requisite data for the frontend
  • Implemented other Node based microservices to support some features of the frontend like pdf and excel export.
  • Pushed different metrics based on user interaction with the UI components to better understand user behaviour

  • Developed React(electron) based desktop application to simplify the complex existing user workflow for sharepoint data migration
  • Significantly reduced the number of clicks for major configuration of sharepoint features to migrate

My values

  • I am a hardworking guy. I never give up until I fix the bug I have been assigned.
  • Am a resourceful guy. I do not ask for help unless I very much need so. I will browse the documentation available, search the whole internet, debug with a death stare. Only after running out of these options, will i ask for help. Of course I do this while being cognisant of timelines committed.
  • Always believe in pushing complete features. Like maintenance to be minimal.
  • Usually have suggestions to simplify the user flow.
  • Am very helpful to other team members, always unblock them from any issues they face. Whenever I can, I do so.
  • Clean up technical debt with an actual plan rather than leaving to the future.
  • Complete code reviews diligently and in a timely manner.
  • Mentor junior team members.
  • Always available for emergency situations. Have worked till 3 in the morning for a production issue.
  • Always excited to try new technologies. Currently apart from frontend, i am also looking for working in backend building distributed, scalable microservices.
